If you are already hooked on crochet and would like to further your basic crochet skills, this course is for you. If you are comfortable with your single, double and treble stitching, your teacher will further those skills and take you to another level of crochet. You will learn some fab new stitches and techniques during the 3 hours of fun! If there is something specific you would like to learn, just let us know.
The day will cover...
- Learning to read patterns
- Increasing and decreasing stitches
- Crocheting in rounds
- Chevron patterns as well as making flower motifs
Once you have mastered these skills you can then apply them to create a toy, a scarf, some patterned motifs or take it as far as you like.
You will need to know the basic crochet stitches before you join us for the day.
Please choose from the following dates
You will need to bring
- A variety of crochet hook sizes, between 3mm and 4.5mm
- 8 ply yarn or larger in a few of your favourite colours
- A selection of large sewing needles for joining together (oversized tapestry needles work well)
- Scissors
- Also feel free to bring along a pattern that you may want to start working on so that Catherine can get you started
* Tea and bikkies are included but bring your lunch or snacks to help you through the day
Where to come to
We are located in the lovely pop up space at 7 Clovelly Road Randwick (Centennial Park end) during each school holiday period and sporadically in between.
Parking is available in surrounding streets.
For public transport, hop on the 339 bus which goes straight past.
